Uso del español en la enseñanza – aprendizaje del idioma Inglés. Un estudio de caso
Resumen
Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio de caso, realizado entre el 2011 y 2013 en la ciudad de Cartagena, para indagar el uso del español en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje del idioma inglés en un grupo de estudiantes primaria de una institución de carácter público. Como principal resultado se evidencia que el uso de la lengua materna está mediado por el nivel de inglés de las docentes participantes, la percepción de la población de estudio hacia el uso de la lengua materna en clases de Inglés, y el contexto educativo en el que se encuentran los participantes.

ABSTRACT:
This article shows the results of a case study made from 2011 through 2013 in Cartagena in order to enquire the use of Spanish in the English teaching and learning process within a group of students of grade school at a public institute. The main result evinces that the use of the mother tongue is measured by the English level of the participating teaching staff, the perception that the population has about the use of the mother tongue in an English class plus the educational context where the participants are.
