Aplicabilidad de la cátedra de estudios afrocolombianos al turismocultural en Cartagena

Abstract

Al ser Cartagena una ciudad con vocación turística matizada en la historia y la cultura de la época colonial, contar la historia de la ciudad desde el enfoque de piratas, corsarios, conquistadores y fortificaciones es el encerramiento del discurso turístico e histórico a la invisibilización del trabajo de los africanos esclavizados al resurgimiento de la ciudad y la constitución de una nueva identidad que reuniera los elementos Caribe, indígenas y españoles a una sociedad mestiza contemporánea. En el siguiente artículo se estructurará la aplicabilidad de la Cátedra de Estudios Afrocolombianos para el fomento del turismo cultural en la ciudad de Cartagena a partir de la difusión del patrimonio cultural afro y materialización de las políticas públicas de turismo cultural. Dentro de las conclusiones predomina el fortalecimiento empresarial y participación política de las comunidades entorno a la valoración de su patrimonio cultural.

 ABSTRACT:

 Cartagena being a city with a tourist vocation that is embedded in the history and culture from the colonial period, telling the story of the city from the perspective of pirates, privateers, conquerors and fortifications, is the closing of the tourist and historical speech about the invisibility of the labor done by enslaved Africans to the resurgence of the city and the creation of a new identity that would reunite the Caribbean elements from the indigenous to the contemporary Spanish and the Mestizo society. In the following article, the applicability of the Afro-Colombian Studies for the development of cultural tourism will be organized in the city of Cartagena from the spread of African cultural heritage and the realization of public policy for cultural tourism. Among the conclusions, the strength of businesses and the political participation of communities predominate around the value of their cultural heritage.
